The outbreak of the pandemic has put the whole Maonan District on a pause overnight, but the High-tech Zone plant of Guangdong Ubridge has remained busy.

Upon the notice of a positive case issued by the pandemic control office of Maonan District, Maoming City, on November 3, Ubridge initiated the “Emergency Plan for Epidemic Control in the Mineral Processing Factory”. Close-door management was implemented for all employees of the plant. During the period, in addition to the normal wages, each stationed employee was subsidized an additional 100 RMB/day. For special circumstances and difficulties in the families, the company would try its best to resolve the problem. This has ensured a continued production operation at full capacity during the outbreak.

Meanwhile, the company also notified community-quarantined staff to stay home and take nucleic acid tests in strict accordance with the epidemic control regulations. The company would pay a basic salary during their quarantine. For on-duty staff who had received a “yellow code” for contact risk, the company would arrange a special transport for nucleic acid re-testing. For those who could not work in the factory for personal reasons, the company would still pay them basic salaries during the period of residence.
