On September 29, Guangdong Ubridge New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and South China Agricultural University (SCAU) held an unveiling ceremony for the “Joint Graduate Training Base” at the exhibition hall of the South China Titanium Valley. Attendees included Mr. Wang Xiangding, Deputy Chief Engineer of Ubridge New Material; Mr. Ruan Changhuai, Director of the South China Titanium Valley Project Department; Professor Lei Bingfu, Dean of the School of Materials and Energy at SCAU; and Associate Professor Zheng Mingtao, Vice President of the Maoming Modern Agricultural Research Institute. Mr. Wang Xiangding and Professor Lei Bingfu jointly unveiled the plaque for the base.

Under the agreement, both parties will integrate academic resources and industrial strengths to establish a dual-mentor training mechanism. Following mutual consultation, SCAU will annually select several master's students in materials-related disciplines to conduct field research at Ubridge New Material. SCAU will oversee daily management and confer degrees, while Ubridge will provide equipment, facilities, accommodation, subsidies, and assign dedicated mentors.

The base pioneers an integrated “industry-academia-research-application” model, and is projected to provide several interdisciplinary master's graduates annually to advance the new materials sector. Ubridge New Material will collaborate with SCAU to tackle key technological challenges, including titanium material innovation and breakthroughs in new processing technologies.

Both parties will seize this opportunity to deepen cooperation in areas such as technology commercialization and platform co-construction, jointly promoting the development of the new materials industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
