Typhoon Ragasa (super typhoon-level) is forecast to cross the Bashi Channel on the night of the 22nd, then enter the northeastern South China Sea. It is highly likely to make landfall near the Pearl River Estuary to the Leizhou Peninsula area on the 24th. From the night of the 23rd to the 25th, it may severely impact Maoming City and surrounding areas as a super typhoon (Category 14 to 17).

Typhoon Ragasa is the strongest storm so far to hit the northwest Pacific this year, with maximum winds at its center reaching Category 17. Preparation for catastrophic impacts in advance is indispensable.

Ubridge New Materials has acted swiftly upon receiving the warning. Headquarters and all affiliated units of the company have responded promptly, preemptively formulating and implementing contingency plans and measures to stand ready for defense against the typhoon.

On the morning of September 22, Vice Chairman Mr. Li Yuxuan visited both the High-Tech Factory and the “South China Titanium Valley” project site to oversee typhoon preparation. At the High-Tech Factory, he inspected critical areas, including workshops and warehouses, to verify the implementation of protection measures against the typhoon, leaving no safety hazard unaddressed. Subsequently, he proceeded to the “South China Titanium Valley” project site, where he emphasized the extreme importance of site protection against the typhoon and outlined several specific requirements, including overall reinforcement of construction fences to prevent collapse and injury, prioritizing reinforcement of the rotary kiln cylinder to safeguard the core equipment, prompt restoration of surveillance systems removed during construction to enable round-the-clock monitoring, advance covering and securing of critical materials to prevent rainwater ingress, and systematic relocation of construction crews to designated emergency shelters to ensure zero risk to personnel.

On the same afternoon, Vice President Mr. Li Dong visited Fangchenggang No.1 and No.2 Plant to oversee typhoon preparation efforts. At Fangchenggang No.2 Plant, he meticulously inspected windproofing measures for steel-framed workshops, rainproofing for raw material and product storage areas, drainage systems around warehouses, and the stability of elevated pipe racks. He emphasized strict adherence to all typhoon resistance requirements.

At No.1 Plant, where production lines had been shut down, he focused on overseeing waterproofing, seepage prevention, and drainage efforts. He demanded enhanced waterproof covering for products and equipment, stressing that vigilance must never be compromised to ensure all measures are fully implemented.

Typhoon Ragasa is exceptionally intense, large in scale, and capable of affecting a vast area with its winds and rains. It possesses immense destructive power and poses an extremely high risk of causing disasters. All departments and subsidiaries of the company must prioritize typhoon preparedness, strictly follow the on-site guidance from the leadership, and implement all measures outlined in the Safety Committee's Notice on Preparing for Typhoon Ragasa (No. 18, 2025). Every task should be thoroughly and meticulously carried out to ensure the safety of all personnel, and to minimize potential losses to production, operations, and facilities caused by the typhoon. We must resolutely win this battle against Ragasa!
