Good News | Ubridge Won the 3rd Prize of Enterprise Group in the 2nd "Maker in Maoming" Competition.

   The 7th "Maker in Guangdong" Maoming Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 2nd "Maker in Maoming" Competition Grand Final and Awarding Ceremony came to an end on August 30th. The team of Guangdong Ubridge New Material Technology Co., Ltd. won the third prize in the enterprise group!

The "Maker in Guangdong" Competition is a measure to implement the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and State Council on strengthening the innovation support for small and medium-sized enterprises and promoting the level of mass entrepreneurship and innovation. It is an "entrepreneurship and innovation" brand activity jointly created by the Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province. The "Maker in Guangdong" will first hold regional competitions in various cities, and the top performers will qualify for the provincial finals.

The 7th "Maker in Guangdong" Maoming Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 2nd "Maker in Maoming" Competition were guided by the Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province, hosted by the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Maoming, and organized by the Maoming Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Service Center. It has attracted nearly 146 projects from Maoming's "Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprises, leading enterprises, various business associations, representatives of colleges and universities, and representatives of industrial parks (platforms, bases) (including a total of 18 projects from Specialized and Sophisticated "Little Giant" Enterprises) to participate.

The "Maker in Maoming" competition is divided into preliminary and final rounds. Firstly, the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Maoming City will organize experts to evaluate all participating projects. After conducting intellectual property audits on the proposed projects for recommendation, the Bureau will recommend them to the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee. The Secretariat will review the recommended projects for the preliminary round and determine the list of finalists. The projects entering finals will then be grouped according to the enterprise group and maker group. Participants will conduct on-site demonstrations and defenses, and experts will evaluate the projects through on-site scoring. A total of 16 award-winning projects will be determined, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 7 third prizes in the enterprise group, and 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes in the maker group.

 

Ubridge submitted the entry proposition of the "10,000 Tons/Year Customized Iron Phosphate" project as a "Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprise. After the intense and fierce defense screening in the review round, it entered the final round with the other 15 teams successfully. The final was held in the form of "8-minute roadshow + 4-minute defense”. 16 finalist teams showed their passion in the on-site roadshow. Through intense competition, the expert jury analyzed the projects on-site in terms of technological innovation, business value, project maturity, and project prospects and operability, and communicated with the project team for defense.

Eventually, the project "10,000 Tons/Year Customized Iron Phosphate Production" led by Dai Xiazhou from the Investment and Financing Department of Ubridge was ranked 4th in the enterprise group with 77.162 points, and was awarded the third prize by the organizing committee.

 

 

This project was also undisputedly awarded to represent Maoming City to enter the quarter-final of the 7th Guangdong Province "Maker in Guangdong, Craftsmanship South Guangdong”, which would be held from September 11th to 18th at the Zhuhai Bortron headquarters building.

It is reported that the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the Competition will establish a continuous tracking service mechanism after the competition, organize investment institutions, leading enterprises, provincial in-depth matchmaking between small and micro-enterprise entrepreneurship and innovation bases, and Makers in aspects including capital, industry, venues, and incubation, and track regularly the implementation status and service demand of province's award-winning projects, in particular the top 50 ones. The "Maker in Guangdong" award-winning projects that have landed in Guangdong and successfully obtained social financing will be given a subsidy of no more than 10% of the financing amount (up to a maximum of RMB 1 million). Qualified award-winning projects will be given financing awards and subsidies.
