On 17th February, Mr. Wu Naihua, Standing Committee Member of Guangxi Fangchenggang Gangkou District Committee, Vice District Mayor, and Deputy Director of Fangchenggang Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, visited Ubridge New Material with Mr. Chen Xiong, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Fangchenggang Gangkou District, Mr. Gan Wentang, Director of the Bureau of Natural Resources of the Gangkou District, and Mr. Liao Jiawei of the Bureau of Industrial and Information Bureau of the Gangkou District. Ubridge Chairman Mr. Li Lvhua, Vice President Ms. Feng Xiaoxia, Vice President Mr. Li Dong, and Guangxi Ubridge Regional General Manager Mr. Fang Gan received them.
Mr. Wu Naihua said that the Municipal Government of Fangchenggang has always attached great importance to the development of Ubridge. He greeted Chairman Mr. Li Lvhua on behalf of the municipal leaders of the Municipal Party Committee. As a leader among private enterprises in the Gangkou District and even in Fangchenggang City, Ubridge's growing production scale and economic benefits have set a benchmark for private enterprises in the Gangkou District in terms of enterprise management, corporate culture, and employment stability. “The Gangkou District has laid out the economic targets for 2025 S1. We are looking forward to Ubridge’s performance and contribution,” said Mr. Wu Naihua.
Mr. Wu Naihua also stated that Ubridge's development and growth have always been highly valued by the Gangkou District. For our planning to expand the by-product iron oxide production line and apply for an increase in the project land for technological transformation, the Gangkou District has appointed special personnel for coordination. For better management after the production line expansion and to support the development of Ubridge, the District communicated with several other land requisitioning units and decided to provide a more suitable land plot to Ubridge for the project.
Chairman Mr. Li Lvhua expressed his warm welcome and sincere thanks to Mr. Wu Naihua and his delegation. Since Ubridge entered Fangchenggang in 2005, both the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government as well as the Gangkou District Government have provided continuous support and encouragement to Ubridge. In particular, the construction project of the 80,000-ton-per-year Reduced Ilmenite Production Line of Ubridge took only 2 months to complete the process from land application to land allocation implementation, which is a clear indication of the efficient and pragmatic working style of Fangchenggang City and the Gangkou District government. In 2019, Ubridge set the 200,000-ton-per-year Synthetic Rutile Technical Transformation Project in the Gangkou District. With the support and encouragement from the local government, all of Ubridge's projects in Fangchenggang have been completed and put into production within one year.
Mr. Li said that due to the market environment in 2024, Ubridge also faced tough challenges. But even so, the company did not suspend production, cut wages, lay off employees, or delay payments. We paid our employee benefits and social securities in time, and continued our production as usual, returning to the municipal and the Gangkou District governments for their care and help. In 2025, Ubridge will adjust its business deployment, and strive to achieve an RMB 1.5 billion output value for Guangxi Ubridge. The by-product iron oxide will also be developed as one of the company's main products in the future.
At present, the Ubridge New Material South China Titanium Valley Industrial Chain Project has been set in Maoming High-tech Zone, and part of the project construction has been commenced. For further development, we will continue to look for other developable chemical projects to set them in Fangchenggang region to expand the product portfolio of Ubridge.
