On August 19th, the results of the 8th "Maker in Guangdong" Maoming Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the preliminary round of the 3rd "Maker in Maoming" Competition, as well as the list of projects that advanced to the finals, were officially announced. There were 10 enterprise groups and 6 maker groups that advanced to the finals. The representative team of Guangdong Ubridge New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. successfully advanced to the finals with first place in all participating fields and the new materials segment of the enterprise group.
The "Maker in Guangdong" competition is a "Startup & Innovation" activity jointly hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance. This activity intends to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship vitality, promote local economic development, discover and cultivate excellent innovation and entrepreneurship projects, and promote the aggregation and sharing of innovation resources. The competition sets up sub-regions in various prefecture-level cities for competition, and the winners are qualified for the provincial finals.
The “Maker in Maoming“ competition is under the guidance of the Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province, hosted by the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Maoming City, and undertaken by the Maoming Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Service Center. Divided into the preliminary and final stages, the participating projects have to go through strict evaluations conducted by experts organized by the Maoming Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau. After undergoing intellectual property audits, they will be recommended to the Secretariat of the organizing committee, and the finalists will be ultimately determined. This year’s competition attracted a total of 96 "Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprises, leading enterprises, various business associations, representatives of colleges and universities, and representatives of industrial parks (platforms, bases) from Maoming City to participate.
The representative team of UBridge participated in the competition as a ”Specialized and Sophisticated” enterprise with the project “UBridge Synthetic Rutile - Leading the World’s New “Titanium” Industry”. After the on-site roadshow, project defense, and strict scoring by experts, our team finally stood out among many participating enterprises and teams, and successfully advanced to the final. We won 1st place in all the participating fields and the new materials segment of the enterprise group, and will compete in the final on 28th August.
This is the second consecutive year that the Guangdong UBridge team has advanced to the "Maker in Maoming" finals. This year, our team will keep on our devotion to research and innovation to pursue breakthroughs and success.
Looking ahead, UBridge will continue to invest in research and development of new technologies and overcome technical challenges to enhance its innovation capabilities. We will continue to engage in in-depth exchanges with various sectors of society to jointly promote the comprehensive development of the titanium industry chain.
