In the afternoon of December 18th, the unveiling ceremony of Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology Graduate Employment and Entrepreneurship Internship Base was successfully held in Ubridge's High-Tech Factory. Mr. Shi Bo, Vice Dean, and Mr. Lai Xiangming, Director of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology, together with Mr. Li Lvhua, Chairman of Ubridge, and Mr. Wang Xiangding, Deputy General Manager of Ubridge, unveiled the plaque of the internship base.
Deputy Secretary Feng Xiao, Vice Dean Wu Dang, and Deputy Director Li Guangzhao of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology, Dr. Hu Weijie and Prof. Zhang Shuhua of the School of Chemistry, as well as CEO Mr. Zhang Zhicheng and Vice General Manager Wu Jun of Ubridge New Material, witnessed the official establishment of the internship base at the unveiling site.
Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology is a public general undergraduate university jointly established by Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Sinopec Group, CNPC Group, and CNOOC Group, and is the only university specialized in the petrochemical industry in South China. Its School of Materials Science and Engineering is a new college created for educating talents urgently needed for the development of strategic emerging industries. It is also a demonstration base of Guangdong Province for the education of applied talents and a pilot zone for talent cultivation innovation.
After the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Li Lvhua, Chairman of the Board of Ubridge, and CEO Mr. Zhang Zhicheng led the leaders of Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology to visit the exhibition hall of Ubridge New Material, and introduced and shared the status, products, strategic layout, and R&D technology of Ubridge New Material.
Afterwards, the leaders of both parties held a meeting on "school-enterprise cooperation", carrying out detailed communication and exchanges on deeper cooperation in internship base construction, project cooperation and development, practical teaching reform, and technology research and development. Initial intentions for the future had been reached.
Creating a good internship platform for graduates and delivering high-quality graduates to companies is not only an effective measure for universities to cultivate talents to achieve the efficient transformation of industry-university-research, but also a need for companies to continuously bring vitality to promote rapid development. The graduate employment and entrepreneurship internship base set up by Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology in Ubridge Material relies on the production characteristics of Ubridge New Material and the professional characteristics of the School of Materials Science and Engineering and forms a mechanism of mutual complementarity, mutual collaboration, two-way service, and common development of the co-construction of the exploration of practical teaching, industry-academia cooperation, talent training, scientific research and innovation, and other multi-dimensional and in-depth cooperation mode. It lays a good development foundation for the future common development of both parties.
