Recently, Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in 2022, which is valid for three years from the date of notification.

A total of 89 enterprises in Maoming have been selected in this list, mostly local enterprises of equipment manufacturing, new materials, chemical industry, fisheries industry, and pharmaceutical industry in Maoming.

Innovative small and medium-sized enterprises refer to enterprises with a high level of specialization, strong innovative capability, and development potential. These enterprises are the foundation of high-quality SMEs. It is also a “certification” label for the innovative capability of an enterprise. The successful identification of 89 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in Maoming has laid a solid foundation for fostering Specialized and Sophisticated Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Specialized and Sophisticated "Little Giant" Enterprises.
