On 1st September, the Autumn Scholarship Distribution Ceremony themed “Warming up the Inspiration and Motivation” was held in Gaozhou Middle School under the guidance of the Social Work Department of CPC Gaozhou Municipal Committee and Gaozhou Committee of Communist Youth League, and sponsored by New Hope Charity Promotion Association of Gaozhou. Guangdong Ubridge New Material Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Ubridge) was invited to attend the ceremony as a caring enterprise providing targeted funding for this activity. Our colleagues distributed scholarships and grants to the recipient students and received a banner of love in return from them as customary.
At the ceremony, Mr. Mo Zhuqing of the Ubridge Administration Department delivered a speech on behalf of the company, encouraging the sponsored students to set up new learning goals and forge ahead in the new semester with tenacity and perseverance. He congratulated the sponsored students who successfully entered the university, and encouraged them to cherish the hard-won opportunity and strive to be useful talents for the development of their community and hometown.
Afterwards, the delegates distributed an RMB 8,000 per person scholarship for sponsored students who were admitted to undergraduate colleges and universities in the autumn of 2024, an RMB 5,000 per person scholarship for those who were admitted to junior colleges, and an RMB 1,800 per person grant for the rest of 22 sponsored students with good academic performance in the current semester. We also presented them with Mid-Autumn mooncakes to pass on the blessings of the festival.
According to the statistics, Ubridge has distributed a total of RMB 90,600 of scholarships and grants in this event.
Since 2018, Ubridge has been sponsoring underprivileged students for 6 years. At present, the number of sponsored students has reached 240, and the cumulative amount of donations has reached RMB 630,800. 30 of the sponsored students have been successfully admitted to universities (21 undergraduates and 9 junior college students). Many of them were even admitted to elite schools of the 985 Project.
