As a tribute to all laborers and strivers, on April 28, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions officially announced the results of the "2026 National May Day Labor Awards Selection." UBridge Chief Engineer Mr. Wang Xiangding was honored with the "National May 1 Labor Medal" for 2026 in recognition of his outstanding achievements!
The "National May 1 Labor Medal" is a prestigious title awarded by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions to laborers who have made outstanding contributions in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The individuals honored have played an exemplary and leading role in serving the Party's central tasks and promoting high-quality development, enjoying extremely high social prestige.
Holding a master's degree and a Senior Chief Engineer title, Mr. Wang Xiangding currently serves as the Chief Engineer of the company, taking full charge of the implementation and advancement of work related to new projects, as well as the management of the R&D Center. In 2025, he was honored as the "Maoming Model Worker." Since joining UBridge, he has bravely shouldered heavy responsibilities, led efforts to overcome several key core technological challenges, and presided over the construction and successful commissioning of China's first large-scale synthetic rutile production line, setting an exemplary benchmark for technological breakthroughs in the industry. Several of his achievements have been authoritatively evaluated as reaching "international advanced level," and have won honors such as the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award and the Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award, with a cumulative total of 26 authorized patents obtained. As the lead core technology expert, he presided over the planning and design of the South China Titanium Valley construction plan, deeply promoted process and technological innovation, and devoted a great deal of effort to the high-starting-point planning and high-standard advancement of the South China Titanium Valley project. His selection for this honor is well-deserved, setting an outstanding example for all employees.
