On February 2, the crisp and loud crackle of firecrackers and the dazzling flares of celebratory colored smoke marked the successful hoisting and positioning of the third major piece of equipment—the acid leaching reactor—for the Phase I project of South China Titanium Valley.

The acid leaching reactor is a crucial piece of equipment for the production of high-quality synthetic rutile. It addresses the limitation of the original corrosion method, which had a strong selectivity for raw materials, enabling a comprehensive upgrade of the corresponding production process. This significantly broadens the range of suitable raw materials and allows for efficient processing of raw materials of various qualities. After quality enhancement by the acid leaching reactor, the synthetic rutile can achieve a quality of over 93%, meeting the market’s increasingly higher expectations for synthetic rutile.
The 500,000-ton Enriched Titanium Material Production and Supporting Facilities Project of South China Titanium Valley Phase I has boldly adopted this new technology and process. Upon commencement of production, it will annually yield 100,000 tons of high-end synthetic rutile. This will further break the foreign monopoly on high-end synthetic rutile products and enable UBridge - branded synthetic rutile to carve out a greater market share internationally and participate in global competition with even more superior quality.
The successful hoisting and positioning of the acid leaching reactor also marked the official start of full-scale equipment installation for the Phase I project of South China Titanium Valley, signaling a significant step closer to its completion and commissioning.
