On February 25, Ms. Zhang Ting, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Municipal Committee, led a group with Ms. Duan Xiaohong, Director of the Organization and Personnel Bureau of High-tech Zone, Mr. Wang Shuo, Head of the Youth League Committee of High-tech Zone, and representatives of the Municipal Young Entrepreneurs Association to carry out field research on the youth work of Ubridge New Material.
The research group visited the company's exhibition hall to get a comprehensive understanding of Ubridge New Material's development history, production scale, and technological innovation achievements.
At the subsequent symposium, Mr. Li Yuxuan, Vice Chairman of Ubridge New Material made a special report on the enterprise's youth work.
Mr. Li Yuxuan stated that Ubridge New Material has always regarded the ideological and political construction of young people as a top priority. Through the “Quarterly Star Staff” and “Technical Innovation Master” selections, “Patent Innovation and Invention” assessment, and other activities like “Thematic Speech Contests”, the company has sought and rewarded young models, and established them as benchmarks to create a positive atmosphere of constant improvement. Hence in 2024, the company achieved 13 new national patents, including 9 invention patents, and successfully implemented 9 technological transformation projects.
In terms of youth career development, Mr. Li Yuxuan pointed out that the company has attached great importance to the cultivation of young talents and provided all-round development support. Through the establishment of an internal trainer system, the implementation of “mentor guiding apprentice”, skills competitions, and other measures, the company has set up a platform for the growth of young employees. The company has provided a career growth channel, selecting and cultivating young leadership talents for new and expansion projects through self-nomination and internal competition for posts. The company has also established a performance appraisal system to guide the efforts of young employees by closely linking the incentive mechanism with career development and providing key training and support to those with outstanding performance.
Mr. Li Yuxuan also emphasized that Ubridge New Material has attached great importance to guiding young employees to participate in social welfare activities. Every year, the company organizes its employees to participate in tree planting, hiking festivals, marathons, basketball matches, as well as blood donation activities. The company has also cooperated with Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology to establish an internship base for graduates' employment and entrepreneurship, providing an internship platform for young graduates.
After listening to the report, Ms. Zhang Ting highly praised Ubridge New Material's innovative initiatives and remarkable results in youth work. She pointed out that Ubridge New Material has achieved a lot of productive results in youth ideological leadership, growth and development, and social services, which provides a broad development space and a good environment for young employees to grow. Ms. Zhang Ting also stated that the Municipal Committee of Youth League would take the research as an opportunity to establish a regular mechanism to contact and serve the youth of enterprises, and expand the coverage of Youth League organizations in the “Two Types of Enterprises and Three New Domains” (mixed-ownership enterprises, non-public enterprises, new economic organizations, new social organizations, and new employment groups). She also hoped that Ubridge New Material could leverage its own advantages and contribute to the high-quality development of Maoming.
